Easter activities for kids

Put on your bunny ears, grab a basket and head to these destinations for Easter fun with the kids this weekend:

The Easter bunny will greet children at Easter Eggstravaganza, the big holiday celebration at the Sedgwick County Zoo, 5555 Zoo Blvd. Participate in an egg- guessing contest and collect treats and goodies from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The fun is included with the price of admission; members get in free. For more information, call 316-660-9453.

Wichita Ice Center is the site for the city's annual Easter Egg Hunt from 10:30 to noon Saturday. Activities include a jelly bean guessing contest, an egg hunt and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Children will be grouped by age for the egg hunt. Schedule: ages 1 to 4 will hunt from 10:30 to 11 a.m.; ages 5 to 8 from 11 to 11:30 a.m.; and ages 9 to 12 from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Admission is free and public skating will follow from 12:15 to 3:15 p.m. For more information, call 316-337-9199, ext. 101.

Eggstravaganza at the Kansas African American Museum, 601 N. Water, will include an egg hunt, storytelling, crafts and prizes. It's from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. Admission is free. For more information, call 316-262-7651.

Visit with the Easter Bunny from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Saturday at Towne East Square, 7700 E. Kellogg. Photographs with the Easter Bunny will be available for purchase. For more information, call 316-686-4849.
