Mr. President: One of your own supporters said long ago, "It's the economy, stupid." Remember this in November, when you are blaming everyone but yourself for the Democrats' crushing defeat.

If Republicans really believe the Democrats will lose Congress in the fall if they force health care through, then why are they spreading lies at a fever pitch to fight it? Because they know the public wants it and will reward the party that delivers.

Why don't the Democrats just go ahead and deem the Constitution unworkable and then instigate their health care program immediately, whether we like it or not?

How can the government control the fraud in a new health care program when the fraud in Medicare is overwhelming?

We already have universal health care. It is called Medicare and Medicaid. We just need to expand those programs.

Our city, county and state governments have joined their big brother, the federal government. Together they have managed to outspend their source of supply, the taxpayer, irresponsibly spending through good years instead of setting aside tax funds for such times as these. The golden goose is dead.

I'm getting so tired of people saying that 70 percent of kids in Wichita come from low-income families. I just can't believe that figure. Why do we have to feed all these kids? Parents need to take some responsibility. If you are going to have kids, you need to be able to feed them, clothe them, send them to school, take care of them. I'm getting tired of paying for your kids so you get a tax deduction.

Punish companies for outsourcing? Get real. Confiscatory corporate taxes and union demands are the reasons for outsourcing. After all, the objective is profit. No one owes you a job.
