Catholic Charities names new executive director

WICHITA — Cynthia Colbert has been named the new executive director of Catholic Charities of the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, the organization announced today.

Colbert — currently director of Catholic Charities in Austin, Texas — will replace Janet Valente Pape, who is retiring May 1 after 18 years with the organization. Colbert will begin her duties April 1.

Colbert has a master's degree in social welfare planning from the University of California-Berkeley and more than 20 years of experience in nonprofit management.
