Wichita's budget office staff should spend more time fully analyzing departments' budgets instead of putting together a pretty budget book that obviously no one reads. Did anyone read the water department's budget?

It's so sad that the water utility manager made a mistake or two, and the city of Wichita goofed and now pretends to not know about any shortage of funds. And who pays for their mistakes? The citizens of Wichita.

Parents have a duty to take care of the children they give birth to. Sometimes they try to pass off their responsibility on government, schools or charities, which make reluctant foster parents at best. A child, no matter how old, needs the care of at least one parent.

Before we go crazy adding more handicapped parking, let's call in all handicapped parking passes, and reissue to those who are truly handicapped or injured and not just fat and lazy.

Anytime you hear someone making a speech, like Obama or even hearing Leno or Letterman do a monologue, it seems like it's more about the crowd finding an excuse to scream and yell than it is about anything.
