Stanley named GWEDC steering council chairman

Foulston Siefkin managing partner Doug Stanley has been elected chairman of the Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition steering council.

Stanley, recently elected to his second two-year term on the council, serves as the volunteer leader of the public-private organization charged with creating and executing the region's business recruitment, retention and expansion efforts.

The steering council also elected: Paul Allen, Allen Gibbs & Houlik, vice chairman; Scott Strode, Boeing Wichita, treasurer; and Lyndon Wells, Intrust Bank, immediate past chairman.

Other private sector steering council members are: Linda Brantner, Delta Dental; Jim Ludwig, Westar Energy; Sam Williams, Sullivan Higdon & Sink; Bryan Derreberry, Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Public sector representatives are: Sedgwick County Commission Chairman Karl Peterjohn, Sedgwick County Commissioner Gwen Welshimer, Wichita Mayor Carl Brewer, Wichita City Manager Robert Layton and Augusta Mayor Kristey Williams.
