The very good thing about the Democrats attempting to pass health care is that they are voluntarily and enthusiastically committing political suicide.

Why do we have guaranteed health care for prisoners but not innocent civilians? What's their crime, other than being born poor?

One must only be born a U.S. citizen in order to be president. According to a letter writer's definition of "natural-born," Andrew Jackson, Thomas Jefferson, James Buchanan, Woodrow Wilson and Herbert Hoover wouldn't have qualified. Barack Obama was born a U.S. citizen. That is a fact.

In recent history, our soldiers have spent more time protecting military contractors' profits than protecting anyone's First Amendment rights. Fortunately, we have the American Civil Liberties Union to do that, and it does a much better job.

With the history of mistreatment of Haiti in centuries past by the French, it is time for France to step up and make Haiti a protectorate. As Haiti moves into the rainy and hurricane season, this disaster is only going to get worse.
