No one has ever been affected by mad cow disease in the United States. However, Japan freaked out with the discovery of one cow here in 2003. It appears to be much safer to eat U.S. beef than to drive a Toyota Prius. Why don't we respond to Japan, like it did the U.S. cattle industry?

The water rate increase is being blamed on lack of usage. According to city officials, they only found out about the low usage two months ago. Does anyone else remember the news reports last year when it rained so much? They were complaining then about the lack of water use.

If the police officers are going to give tickets for speeding on I-135, I-235 and Kellogg, then they should do the same for people driving 45 mph and under (excluding work zones) on the same roads.
