Former Wichita Clinic exec named Ark City hospital chief

The former chief executive of Wichita Clinic plans to return to the area to lead South Central Kansas Regional Medical Center in Arkansas City.

Steve Perkins has been named the CEO of the Cowley County hospital, it said in a news release today.

Perkins left Wichita Clinic in 2002. He was most recently CEO of Spanish Peaks Regional Medical Center in Walsenburg, Colo.

The Emporia native is expected to begin his new job in late April.
