It's laughter for a good cause as the Loony Bin hosts "Loony for Big Dogs: Irish Style," a benefit for Big Dogs Huge Paws rescue, on Thursday.
Headliner for the evening will be Sean Kent, and the show will also feature Paul Strickland. Doors open at 7 p.m., so come early to visit with rescue dogs, view raffle items and shop the Big Dogs retail table. The show starts at 8 at the Loony Bin, 6140 E. 21st St.

Kennel club to hold 'Show and Go' event
South Central Kansas Kennel Club will host a "Show and Go" event on March 20, so dogs and handlers can practice their obedience and rally skills.
The event will be at the fairgrounds in Winfield, starting at 8 a.m.
Entries will be taken the day of the show between 7:30 and 11 a.m. Spectators are welcome, but only dogs entered should be in the building.

Andover vet clinic to discuss storm phobias
Andover Veterinary Clinic will hold a seminar on pets and storm phobias at 6:30 p.m. March 30.
Veterinarian Cathy Harmon will discuss behavior and medical management of storm and noise phobias, from mild to severe. Refreshments will be provided, and space is limited.
