WICHITA _ One of two people hurt Thursday in a two-vehicle crash on K-254 has died in a Wichita hospital, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported today.
Matthew Sciarotta, 21, of Wichita, died at Wesley Medical Center, where he was flown by helicopter after the crash, the accident report shows.
The driver of the other vehicle, Tamara Brown, 43, of Valley Center, was treated at Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus for non-life-threatening injuries.
The Highway Patrol said the accident occurred at 1:10 p.m. Thursday at K-254 and Greenwich Road.
Sciarotta was westbound on K-254, the accident report said, when his truck collided with a pickup driven by Brown, who had been heading north on Greenwich. Investigators said Brown failed to yield the right-of-way.
