WICHITA — A Conway Springs man was killed this afternoon when he ran a red light at K-42 and Tyler and collided with an SUV.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said John Kerschen, 37, was driving east on K-42 about 1:20 p.m. when his pickup collided with a southbound SUV driven by Larry Franks, 44, of Wichita.
Investigators said Kerschen was pronounced dead at the scene, while Franks was taken in serious condition to Via Christi Medical Center-St. Francis Campus.
