Kansans who think people aren't dying from lack of health care probably also think western Kansas has a lot of nice scenery.

What about a dimwit like Joe Biden being a heartbeat away from the presidency? But if Curly from the Three Stooges was a Democratic vice president right now, it would be OK with you people who bash Sarah Palin.

State Sen. Ty Masterson of Andover has missed 18 percent of the Legislature's work days since early 2009. I wish he would skip the other 82 percent as well. I would feel better represented.

I enjoy driving my car and listening to my radio. I'm a rock 'n' roller and I jam. I've got a nice system. What about my freedom? Do I not have the right to listen to my music?

* * *

I saw a lady come out of Walmart with what looked like 50 full plastic bags. There's no sense in that. Buy a bag and reuse it.

* * *

You know you're getting old when the music of your youth has a two-hour retrospective on PBS.

* * *

The Wichita State basketball team is so terrific. I am especially proud of my two former students, J.T. Durley and Graham Hatch. Two terrific guys.

If you drive a Toyota, please don't tailgate me. Thank you.
