Ten companies have been named finalists for the Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce's Small Business Awards.
More than 80 companies were nominated for this year's awards. A panel of judges will select the winners based upon business operations, employee relations, diversity, contributions to the community and entrepreneurial spirit.
The finalists in Tier 1, for companies with one to 25 employees: Famhost, Hartman Oil Co., Professional Software, the Bill Guy Technology Solutions and the Lusco Brick & Stone Co.
The finalists in Tier 2, for companies with 26 to 100 employees: ARSI — Account Recovery Specialists, Healing Waters Medical Day Spa, PWI, Suzuki of Wichita and Youngers & Sons Manufacturing Co.
Each of the finalists will be recognized during the Small Business Awards Sunrise Scrambler on April 22 at the Holiday Inn Wichita, 549 S. Rock Road.
The winners will be announced May 12 during a luncheon at the Hyatt Regency Wichita. Jack DeBoer will be the guest speaker. The title of his speech is "Success is Seldom Permanent — Neither is Failure."
