President Obama's legacy: He tried to bring about change, but Congress and the Democratic Party let him and the people down.

Sarah Palin, "Scooter" Libby, Joe the Plumber and Glenn Beck are not my idea of a GOP dream team. However, they would certainly be a tremendous improvement over the current Democrat dream team of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

So columnist Cal Thomas thinks President Bush should get credit for the surge in Iraq, not Obama? Agreed. Then let's also give Bush "credit" for the 4,000 dead soldiers (and counting), the many thousands of soldiers maimed for life and a bankrupt United States.

I guess in some people's minds, Sarah Palin has not spent enough time as a "community organizer" to be qualified to be president.

Teachers in the state of Kansas would like to know exactly how much of the stimulus money prevented layoffs. We are just not seeing it.

Is your health insurance premium increasing as much as mine will this year? Call Sen. Sam Brownback and Sen. Pat Roberts and ask if we can join their health insurance group. They have consistently voted "no" to national health insurance reform.

Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are fundamental rights. If you want free health care, move to Canada or another country that offers it.

Rep. Todd Tiahrt does not care about Kansas, especially the poor. The only thing Tiahrt worries about are the rich and the big corporations and himself. No more, no less.

Only a moron would think that businesses, if they get a tax cut, are going to hire people they don't need for demand they don't have.

The aircraft companies should be ashamed to be selling our jobs to foreign companies.

If the Wichita State Shockers don't make the NCAA tournament this year, I am going to have to break my New Year's resolution and start drinking again.
