If both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, why do we have deficits? The 535 people in Congress are the ones who pass all spending bills.

The tea party group is just a renewal of the John Birch Society, backed by the same wealthy people hoping to hold the masses down and keep the power. Unfortunately, folks always fall for this, cloaked in words like "liberty" and "free market access." And guess who gets left behind?

Given the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision, how long before Republicans and Democrats become Pepsicans and DemoCokes?

How much of a pay cut has President Obama agreed to take in light of this recession?

Let's stop the Bush and Obama bashing. Neither one caused the mess America is in. I blame the American voters, who keep electing people to Congress even though they sell their votes to the corporations.

I hate to say it, but the only difference between America and most Third World countries is that America continues to borrow more and more to live a good lifestyle. Even the poorest Americans would be considered rich in many countries.

As a former smoker, I think we should ban smoking in all public places, including casinos. I think the only place you should be able to smoke is your bathroom.

Hey, Wichita: Brad Paisley's concert in Boston at Gillette Stadium sold out in just one day of ticket sales. So maybe he's not just a country hick enjoyed only by redneck Kansans. Seems like more than 50,000 redneck patriots like him, too.

I would not spend one minute of my time watching NASCAR. I would like to know why the little guy drivers all look and talk the same way.
