Politicians are on the side of their constituents. Their constituents are the riches that fill their bank accounts. We've got to be very naive to believe that potbellies in Congress are working for us.

President Obama has never run a business or met a payroll. No wonder he doesn't know what is going on and he is spending trillions of dollars.

President Bush had no idea how to govern and relied on advisers who were less than honorable. President Obama is trying to solve our problems, but the people we elected (the obstructionists) are determined to keep him from succeeding. Way to go, voters.

I am really tired of hearing about this guy Reagan. He raised taxes, then he lowered taxes. He cut and ran from Lebanon and then invaded the mighty Grenada. He had his wife and an astrologer making policy decisions.

Here are the Democrats: The colder it gets, the more global warming they see. The more smiling they see at the tea party, the more "anger" they see. When they see Obama wanting to be able to track your cell phone, they see liberty and freedom.

I can name more liberals on the Fox News Channel than I can conservatives on all other major news networks combined.

How could anyone expect the "don't ask, don't tell" policy to be effective, when 90 percent of casual conversation in the military is about sex?

So the five largest U.S. health insurance companies had a combined profit of $12.2 billion in 2009. I have no insurance, but we don't need health care reform here in Kansas, do we?

I would say most of the people in jail are nonviolent. Slap an orange necklace around their necks so we know who they are and send them home. Monitor them, charge them for the necklace and the cost to monitor them. Problem solved. Now was that so hard?

House Bill 2564 would ban automatic abortion coverage in private health insurance policies. Why not also ban coverage for all maternity expenses and sexually transmitted disease expenses? Surely our legislators are interested in equal nontreatment for all.

Spewing vicious hate talk does nothing to help our country. Instead, let us respect one another, be courteous and try to work together for our country's good.
