I wish columnist Leonard Pitts would quit whining. Everyone knows that slavery and racism are wrong. He doesn't seem to understand that most blacks have moved on from the past and are living honorable, decent lives. They deserve credit for that. He should be more positive.

You cannot completely empty a jelly jar these days. Too many wrinkles and ridges are added for structural strength. The manufacturer has lower costs to make the jar and sells more jelly, because you have to leave some because of the ridges.
