Glenn Detulleo's goal with 7:21 remaining in the second period enabled Mississippi to take the lead for good, beating the Wichita Thunder 4-2 in Southaven, Miss., on Sunday.
The Thunder had taken a 1-0 lead in the first on a powerplay goal by Anders Strome.
Mississippi tied it 37 seconds later on a goal by Ryan Held, then took a 2-1 lead on Tyler Doherty's goal at 11:56.
Wichita tied it 1:15 into the second period on JR Bria's goal, his first of the season.
That set the stage for Detulleo's goal.
