Now it's your turn to vote for one of the 15 finalists. Voting ends at noon Feb. 16.
Winnowing down all those beautiful photos was not an easy job, but we did it. There were so many beautiful photos of cats. Cats sitting up like the royalty they are. Cats lounging around. Cats exploring. And lots of cats' faces with close-ups of their beautiful eyes.
I don't have much experience with cats, but I do know that it can be pretty difficult to get a cat to cooperate and make it do what you'd like it to do.
And I have enough experience to know that, often, even when you think a cat is doing your bidding, you are really doing the cat's.
Keeping that in mind, these nearly 150 photos are even more impressive.
