EL DORADO — Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy today requested the public's help finding a car belonging to a homicide victim.

The body of German Luis Clerici, a 19-year-old Cowley College student, was found at about 3 p.m. Saturday by a woman walking along Southwest Boyer Road southwest of El Dorado. Family members reported him missing on Jan. 30.

Clerici was living in Wichita; Wichita police are assisting in the investigation.

Murphy sent an e-mail asking people to watch for Clerici's car: a maroon 1990 Toyota Celica two-door with Kansas license plate 199 CDD.

Anyone spotting the vehicle should immediately call the nearest law enforcement agency, he said.

He also asked that anyone who might have information about the case call Butler County sheriff's investigators at 316-322-4257; the Tip Line, 316-322-8817; or 1-866-484-5924. Information also can be e-mailed to crimetipsbucoks.com.
