Wichita State: The Shockers received five points in the latest AP poll.... Hannah is 59 of 64 from the line (92.2 percent), third nationally behind Appalachian State's Donald Sims (94.8) and Portland State's Dominic Waters (92.7). He leads the MVC, with Evansville's Denver Holmes (86.8) in second. ... WSU has won 20 games 11 times before this season and advanced to post-season play nine times in those seasons (six NCAA/three NIT).... Coach Gregg Marshall is a 20-game winner for the seventh time in 12 seasons.... WSU has lost two straight games at Roberts Stadium but has won 10 of the past 12 meetings overall.... Durley scored 10 points in last season's 61-52 loss at Evansville, the only Shocker to reach double figures.
Evansville: Ryan leads MVC freshmen in scoring and is second among all players. He shoots 83.3 percent from the line and 36.3 percent from three-point range. He's been particularly tough on Creighton — scoring 26 and a season-high 31 against the Bluejays.... Hopf has reached double figures four times in the past seven games and is averaging 7.4 points in that span. He scored 10 in Saturday's 83-63 loss to Bradley.... The Aces are last in the MVC in scoring defense (70 points), shooting percentage (42.6) and turnover margin (minus-1.39).
