Butler County authorities and Wichita police are investigating the homicide of a 19-year-old Wichita man, German Luis Clerici.

Clerici's remains were found Saturday on the side of a road southwest of El Dorado.

"We are working with Wichita homicide on this due to the fact he was missing out of Wichita," Butler County Sheriff Craig Murphy said Sunday.

The body was discovered around 3 p.m. Saturday in the 8000 block of Southwest Boyer Road by someone walking the rural road, Murphy said. Authorities released Clerici's name Sunday afternoon.

"There is a lot about him we don't know," Murphy said. "I know my guys and the Wichita PD have been talking to whoever they can trying to figure out what the heck was going on."

Clerici was reported missing to Wichita police on Feb. 1.
