At next weekend's Wichita Cat Fancy cat show, about 200 of the region's most fabulous felines will compete for ribbons and honors.
But do you have a cat that you think is as gorgeous as any show cat?
The Eagle and Wichita Paws are holding a beautiful cat photo contest, inviting amateur photographers to submit photos of their cats — purebreds or not — at their beautiful best.
To enter, go to WichitaPaws.com and register, if you haven't already. Click on the Contest billboard for instructions on how to post your photo. Deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Feb. 8.
Finalists will be featured in The Eagle on Feb. 13, and the winner, chosen by online vote, will be published Feb. 20. The winning photographer will receive a $50 gift card to a pet store.

Second seminar on dog housebreaking set for Saturday
If you missed the seminar in January at Skaer Veterinary Clinic on dogs and housebreaking issues, you'll have a chance to attend another one Feb. 6 on the west side of town.
A free seminar from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at All Paws Pet Center, 2110 N. Maize Road, will cover housebreaking a new puppy, housebreaking an adult dog, and medical and behavior issues that may cause a previously housebroken dog to have accidents.
Dogs are not invited, and preregistration is required. Call 316-619-4082 to reserve a spot.
February obedience classes at All Paws
SitStay Dog Training at All Paws Pet Center, 2110 N. Maize Road, is offering puppy preschool and basic obedience classes for dogs starting the first week of February.
Preschool will be offered at 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays for four weeks. Basic obedience is offered at 7 p.m. Wednesdays or 9 a.m. Saturdays for eight weeks.
