Retired Gen. Richard Myers, a Kansas City, Mo., native and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff under President George W. Bush, will speak in Wichita on March 6.
Myers will speak at the 13th annual Salute to Valor Banquet and Silent Auction, hosted by the Jayhawk Wing of the Commemorative Air Force at the Hilton Wichita Airport Hotel, 2098 Airport Road.
Myers served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs from 2001 until his retirement in 2005.
The event, which is open to the public, starts at 6 p.m. with a cash bar and silent auction. Dinner is at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person or $500 for tables of 10. Tickets must be bought by March 2.
