It is not the job of the U.S. government to give our tax dollars away in aid to other countries. If Americans want to give to other countries, we should have the freedom to do so or not do so.

Extreme weather changes, earthquakes — and notice the exploding population of birds of prey. There is a bird perched on every tree and every road sign. Even the top gun, the bald eagle, has migrated to the prairies to reclaim the ancestral sky kingdom. The Mayan forecast indeed appears to be on track.

The current tea party movement needs to break all ties with Fox News and the GOP. Independents, like me, feel both Democrats and Republicans stink. And neither party wins without the independents, do they?

Notice that every time the state needs more money, it taxes cigarettes. If you look at photos on the society pages or of any function at the Statehouse or White House, the people all have drinks in their hands. I think that is why we are broke: Wall Street, CEOs, the legislators and congressmen are all drunk.

If the Kansas Department of Revenue is short of money, why doesn't it charge each tax filer in the state $1, instead of putting all the burden on the elderly people?
