A story in Wednesday's Eagle with recipes using Girl Scout cookies had some incorrect information in it.
Two of the recipes called for a cookie called Thank You Berry Much, which is not sold in the Wichita area.
Three other recipes called for cookies that are sold here, but under different names. They are the same cookies, otherwise, and may be used in the recipes. Samoas are called Caramel deLites here, Do-Si-Dos are called Peanut Butter Sandwiches, and Lemon Chalet Cremes are called Lemonades here.
Other cookies sold in the Wichita area are Thin Mints, Shortbreads, Peanut Butter Patties, Thanks-A-Lot and Daisy Go Rounds.
Girl Scout cookies sales will continue through March 14. Information about cookie sales in the Wichita area can be found at http://www.kansasgirlscouts.org/index.php/cookie-program.
A fundraising event to benefit Girl Scouts of Kansas Heartland is set for March 4 at the Hyatt hotel. Called Cocktails and Cookies, it will feature dinner, desserts and drinks. Local chefs and restaurants will present desserts they have created using Girl Scout cookies.
Tickets are $75 each. Those attending must be 21 years or older.
For more information, go to www.cocktailsandcookies.com. The Girl Scout organization also is accepting recipes using Girl Scout cookies at the site.
