Tyler Perry headed to Wichita with 'Madea' stage play

Film actor, producer and screenwriter Tyler Perry is scheduled to bring his stage play "Madea's Big Happy Family" to Wichita as part of a 50-plus city tour.

The production is scheduled for March 11 at Century II Convention Hall. Tickets will cost $54 and $69 and will go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. Monday. They may be purchased online at www.wichitatix.com, in person at Century II's WichitaTIX box office or by phone at 316-219-4849.

The tour marks the return of "Madea" to the stage after a five-year absence. Perry was recently named one of Barbara Walter's "10 Most Fascinating People of 2009."
