KU hospital accredited for heart failure program

The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City has been named an accredited heart failure institute by the Healthcare Accreditation Colloquium. It is the first hospital in Kansas or Missouri to receive the honor.

The hospital's Center for Advanced Heart Care is the ninth accredited heart failure institute in the nation. The certification program was launched in April 2008 and signifies superior care for patients with heart failure.
