WICHITA — Kansas Technology Enterprise Corp. and Kansas Bioscience Authority said they will partner on an initiative to help technology and bioscience entrepreneurs win federal grants.
They said the partnership will help those entrepreneurs compete for more than $3 billion in federal grants that will assist with product development and job creation.
The partnership will include assisting entrepreneurs through proposal writing workshops, one-on-one consultations with Small Business Innovation Research grant experts, and scientific and editorial reviews of grant applications.
"This initiative targets the entrepreneurial sector ... where the risk and expense of conducting serious R&D efforts are often beyond the means of many small businesses," Kevin Carr, KTEC's interim CEO, said in a news release.
