Series

"America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back"

John Walsh travels to Eastern Europe to hunt down a drug lord who has led authorities on an international cat-and-mouse game, then partners with some of the best crime busters in the United Kingdom to track down some criminals there. He also examines new CSI technology developed in England that gives detectives a powerful tool to help identify suspects in "The World's Most Wanted Special Edition." 8 p.m., Fox and KSAS, Channel 4/24.

Movies

"The Deep End"

Tilda Swinton earned raves for this 2001 drama about a woman who's determined to protect her son (Jonathan Tucker) at all costs after he becomes party to a friend's murder. Just when she thinks she has the problem solved, she learns others are aware of her offspring's involvement, making her their prey for blackmail. Goran Visnjic and Peter Donat co-star. 6 p.m., Lifetime, Channel 38.

"Tom Jones"

Serious students of Brit lit might take issue with this 1963 adaptation of Henry Fielding's novel. Let them go reread the book; the rest of us will enjoy the bawdy adventures of the title character (Albert Finney), whose enjoyment of the earthly delights of 18th-century England almost get him hanged. There are some "look what we can do!" camera tricks, but they didn't keep the film from winning the best picture Oscar — rare for both imports and comedies. 7 p.m., TCM, Channel 65.

Sports

College Football

Kansas State at Nebraska (6:45 p.m., ESPN, Channel 32); Kansas at Texas (7 p.m., ABC and KAKE, Channel 10).
