Spirit AeroSystems has formally opened a new maintenance, repair and overhaul repair station in China in a joint venture with Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co. and its subsidiary, Taikoo (Xiamen) Aircraft Engineering Co.
The facility, based in Jinjiang, is known as Taikoo Composite Co. and will provide composite repairs and overhauls for planes from across the Asia-Pacific region.
The facility is in the process of receiving its Civil Aviation Administration of China certification.
