If President Obama bowing to the Japanese emperor was wrong, then what was George W. Bush doing when he kissed the Saudi king?

Since when does the personal representative of the American people bow to anyone, much less any so-called royalty? This is a very serious gaffe in protocol and needs to be corrected immediately.

If I were the president and my country owed billions of dollars to foreign countries, I would bow, too.

I wonder how many laid-off aircraft workers voted for Barack Obama, and how many of those workers recall President Bush bad-mouthing corporate airplanes.

Let's see if I have this right: George Bush was warned about the 2001 terrorist attacks and was asleep at the wheel when they occurred. But he and his right-wing followers still insist he kept America safe. Now we have some lunatic kill his fellow soldiers, and this is a comparable terrorist act?

I didn't think I would ever say this, but President Obama is actually making President Bush look good.

Medicare fraud costs us $60 billion a year. Less than half of the H1N1 vaccines that the government ordered have been delivered. I am sure that if the government's 2,000-page health care bill passes, its performance will improve substantially.

The title of the Sarah Palin book, "Going Rogue," is revealing. Look up "rogue" in your dictionary. I think it fits her perfectly.

The Kansas Legislature can afford to cut business taxes so the rich can become richer, but cannot afford to fully fund public education for the children of the working class. Kansas: It's a great place to live if you are a wealthy Republican.

Many thanks to the Sedgwick County Health Department and all the friendly, helpful volunteers for my H1N1 vaccination. It was 10 minutes nonstop, from door to shot to exit.
