Boston U.: The Terriers, of the America East Conference, are off to an 0-2 start with losses to Iona and George Washington. Former Villanova assistant Patrick Chambers is Boston's coach, taking over for long-time head man Dennis Wolff. BU won 17 games a year ago, and is a favorite to win its conference.

Kansas State: The warmups are over for the Wildcats. Starting today, Kansas State will face a tough three-game test in Puerto Rico. Sutton will be asked to contribute more than he has in his first two games. Last time out, he played seven minutes. . . . The Wildcats hope to do better than they did a year ago in their early-season conference tournament, when they went winless in Las Vegas.

Bottom Line: Boston University is a much better team than Kansas State has played this season, but the Wildcats have too much size and depth to lose in the first round of the Puerto Rico Tip-off.
