Robbers in matching outfits hit grocery store

WICHITA — Two women wearing very similar outfits robbed the Aldi's grocery store near 21st and Amidon on Monday night, police said.

The women forced their way into the store at 2323 N. Amidon as it was closing at 8:20 p.m., police said. They took money from a safe and left the area on foot, employees told police.

The first suspect is a woman of unknown race about 30 years old, 5-feet-6 and 250 pounds, the employees said. She was wearing a red thermal shirt, black pants, black boots, black ski mask and black gloves and carried a black handgun.

The second suspect is a white woman in her 30s about 5-feet-3 and 200 pounds. She was wearing a red thermal shirt, black pants, black boots, a black ski mask and black gloves. She also had a black handgun, employees told police.
