WICHITA — Police on Monday urged College Hill residents to close their garage doors and lock outside doors after a string of burglaries this month.
There have been nine burglaries since the first of November, Lt. Barry VonFange of the burglary section said. Four have been at night while the homeowners have been asleep in the house.
In all four cases, he said, the burglar stole a car. In one case, the garage door was left open; in another, a side door was left unlocked. In the other two, a window or door was forced open.
All of the stolen cars have been recovered, VonFange said.
