President Obama has taken over the whole government, the economy and the wars. There is no way he can blame President Bush for anything that happens from here on out.

If Republicans are so worried about the middle class, why do they continue to worship Ronald Reagan? Reagan treated the middle class like dirt beneath his golden feet.

If I hear one more person tell me that soldiers are dying in Iraq or Afghanistan to keep us "free," I'm going to barf. What does being there have to do with our freedom? Those people are free to keep slaughtering one another. We are just free to die and go broke while they keep doing it.

How much money would a 1 percent national sales tax raise toward reducing the deficit? I think a considerable amount.

The fact that so many humans believe that the federal government can provide affordable, efficient, accessible medical care proves that Darwin's theory of evolution (for humans) is false.

I guess the only logical place for the Lord's Diner in northeast Wichita is Holy Savior Parish, since there is no room at the inn anywhere else around there.

Can you imagine if the pastors in the African-American community wanted the Lord's Diner to open there and the Lord's Diner said there was too much crime in that area? The news media would call that a hate crime.

Regarding the comment that burglaries are up more than 7 percent but police are writing tickets: Officers do have their priorities straight. Burglars aren't killing people. Bad drivers are.

Here is a radical idea for all the people upset with the Wichita Police Department for collecting all that money from traffic violations : Obey the traffic laws.

The person who blasted a bank concerning notifications about overdrafts reflects society today: Don't take responsibility for not watching how you spend your money. Blame the bank.

* * *

Why is it we feel the need to complain about political issues but no need to do anything about them? The nation's problems aren't fixed from your recliner.

It's sad that people could risk their lives for their country and find that when they come back they don't even have homes.
