Shockers blown out at Colorado State

Despite an 18-point showing by Haleigh Lankster, Wichita State lost its season opener to Colorado State 85-60 Sunday in Fort Collins, Colo.

The Shockers shot 30.6 percent from the field in the first half and 35.1 in the second half for a 32.9 percentage for the game.

Marisah Henderson and Jessica Diamond scored 11 each for WSU.

The Shockers struggled at the free-throw line, hitting 43.8 percent, 36.4 in the first half (4 of 11).

WSU led by nine at 14:43 of the first half. CSU's biggest lead was 28 at 4:26 remaining in the game.
