Ringing endorsement

Jamar Samuels seems to like Jordan Henriquez-Roberts better than any other freshman. "I'm telling you," he twice said after the game, "he's going to be a pro."

Notes

Of all the Western Illinois players who struggled offensively, Quenton Kirby had the most troubles. He missed all 10 of his shots.ć.ć.ć. K-State can add free throw shooting to its list of areas that need improvement. It made 15 of 28 against Western Illinois.ć.ć.ć. Rodney McGruder led K-State with two three-pointers.ć.ć.ć. On top of 19 points, Jamar Samuels added seven rebounds and three assists.
