The turbulent love affair and subsequent marriage — make that marriages — of Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton dominated headlines in the mid-20th century, so it made sense, at least in terms of box office, for Franco Zeffirelli to cast them as Katharina and Petruchio in his 1967 adaptation of Shakespeare's politically incorrect yet beloved comedy. 7 p.m., TCM, Channel 65.
