Wichita Home School, Circle, Campus qualify for regional robotics competition

The Wichita Home School team took first place in both categories today at the 11th annual BEST (Boosting Engineering, Science and Technology) competition at Wichita State University.

The Home School team qualified for regional competition Dec. 4 and 5 in Fort Smith, Ark., along with Circle High School (second in BEST Award), Campus High School (third in BEST Award) and Ambassadors for Christ Academy of Bentonville, Ark. (second in Game Award).

The winning teams also receive a $2,500 stipend for traveling expenses.

The BEST Award is based on a project notebook, oral presentation, table display, interviews, and overall spirit and sportsmanship. The Game Award is based on a team's robot score in the game competition.
