BY STAN FINGERThe Wichita Eagle
A 44-year-old Mulvane man remains in critical condition today after being hurt in a crash on U.S. 54 in Butler County Wednesday afternoon.
Daryl Demain was riding west in the left lane of U.S. 54 1 1/2 miles east of Andover shortly after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday when he ran into the back of a station wagon stopped in that lane, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.
Demain and the driver of the station wagon, 37-year-old Dale Anderson of Oil City, Penn., were both taken to Wesley Medical Center for treatment. Anderson was treated and released.
Demain was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, the patrol reported.
