'Tea Party' rally today in Wichita

WICHITA — The Tea Party Express II: Countdown to Judgment Day is scheduled to begin in Wichita at 1 p.m. today at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.

The event is part of a 19-day, 7,000-mile journey across America with a caravan of vehicles stopping briefly at rallies in 38 cities.

The events advocate for less government spending and intrusiveness, an end to bailouts, lower taxes and opposition to government-run health care.
