Southeast High student hit by school bus
A 17-year-old Southeast High School student suffered potentially serious injuries this afternoon when he was struck by a school bus outside the school.
Wichita police Capt. Hassan Ramzah said the accident occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. as the bus was turning from a school driveway into the eastbound lanes of Lincoln.
The boy was crossing the driveway in the sidewalk when he was hit by the bus, Ramzah said.
The boy, whose name was not released, was taken by ambulance to Wesley Medical Center.
Ramzah said the students on the bus were taken home in another school bus.
