WICHITA — Wichita police have released an image of the man who robbed the Intrust Bank branch at 1544 S. Webb Road Monday afternoon.

The man walked into the bank at Harry and Webb at about 3:25 p.m., handed a bank employee a blue zippered bank bag and demanded the teller fill it with money, police said.

The man then pulled a pistol and showed it to the clerk and again asked him to fill the bag with money. After the teller complied, the bandit left the bank and headed north on Webb, police said.

The robber is a white male, about 30 years old, approximately 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds.

He wore blue jeans, a white button-up shirt over a white crew neck T-shirt, a brown suit jacket, and was wearing black sunglasses and a fake, stick-on brown beard and mustache, police said. The bandit also was wearing a white metal watch or bracelet on his left arm.

Anyone with any information about the crime or the robber should call 911 or the police robbery section at 316-268-4177. Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers by phone at 316-267-2111, or by texting the number 274637 (CRIMES) and beginning their tip with TIP217.
