Of course the Obama daughters got their H1N1 vaccinations. They should have waited in line, just like all the other children had to do. I guess that's the perk for having a dad who is president.

For those who complain about activities Obama does other than the presidency: Remember that George W. Bush spent one-third of his presidency on vacation. Where were your complaints then?

Dick Cheney should disappear forever. In a recent speech, all he did was praise himself and President Bush and slam President Obama. He had his chance and failed. He needs to fly, fly away, preferably to the moon.

It is obvious that Congress works for the next election and not for the next generation. It is time for term limits.

Why would Kansas Republican legislators want to draft a law to have Kansas opt out of health care reform when the reform hasn't even passed yet? Is this the American way?

There will never be an effective way to reform health care until our country figures out a way to control the exploding population. This includes dealing with both citizens and noncitizens.

President Obama's whining about Fox News is extremely unbecoming and unpresidential. I don't recall President Bush ever whining about CNN, MSNBC or even CBS and Dan Rather's made-up story. Those networks never had anything positive to say about the president.

Regarding the pilots who overshot their destination: There is such a thing as autopilot. It's standard procedure. I don't think you want to stare out a window for three hours while the plane flies itself.

Why doesn't Kansas jump on the bandwagon with making medicinal marijuana legal? I personally have chronic pain, and no one around here will give me a prescription for painkillers.

My church is hosting a program called Judgment House. It makes me realize there still is hope for our community, even in these tough times. God is in control.

With recycling being the hot thing today, how about recycling the Golden Rule? That would be golden.
