Environmental

The Environmental Leadership Council has announced the election of officers for 2009-10. Barry Carroll, chairman; Benjamin Stiff, vice chairman; and Angie Allen, secretary. The council is a group of volunteers that works in conjunction with the staff at the KU School of Medicine-Wichita and the Wichita Initiative to Renew the Environment.

Veronica Bargas has joined Via Christi Regional Medical Center as director of the Cardiac Critical Care Unit at Via Christi-St. Joseph.

Jon Rosell, Medical Society of Sedgwick County; Marta Linenberger, Foulston Siefkin; and Claudia Blackburn, Sedgwick County Health Department; are among those named to the e-Health Advisory Council, which will help the Kansas Department of Health and Environment create plans for a statewide health information exchange.

Lucynda Raben and Jason Wagle recently added the International Congress of Oral Implantologists World Congress. Raben was awarded the Mastership credentials for her work in the restorative field of implants. Wagle received the Diplomate credentials for his work in the surgical field of implant placement.
