Specials
"Herbert Hoover: Landslide"
Hoover, the 31st president of the United States, leaves a legacy mostly defined by the Great Depression, with most people forgetting he was swept into office in a 1928 landslide victory, buoyed by remarkable humanitarian work and an earlier career that included a stint as U.S. secretary of commerce. This hour takes a fresh look at the controversial chief executive. 9 p.m., PBS and KPTS, Channel 8.
"Bloodlines: The Dracula Family Tree"
A team of Dracula hunters, including putative descendants of the real-life Prince Vlad Dracul, try to unearth the truth about his life 500 years after his death, but their quest is marked by an eerie series of misfortunes. The special also examines the long-standing question of whether members of the Florescu family really do have blood ties to the historic Dracula. 9 p.m., History, Channel 49.
