"Frontline"

Producer-director Michael Kirk sifts through the ashes of the economic meltdown in search of moments when things might have gone differently in "The Warning," revealing a bitter battle within the Clinton administration and an effort not to regulate the derivatives market. 8 p.m., PBS and KPTS, Channel 8.

The two teams head to the beach to dig for buried treasure: tickets home to see their loved ones. But — spoiler alert! —there's a surprise twist, because the "winning" team immediately is put in temptation's way, struggling to eat healthfully. 7 p.m., NBC and KSNW, Channel 3.

"Dancing With the Stars"

The contestants have danced to Michael Jackson's music in previous seasons, but this season's tribute to the King of Pop is particularly poignant given his death in June. 8 p.m., ABC and KAKE, Channel 10.

Movie

"The Goonies"

A group of adolescent misfits undertakes a harrowing mission to recover the booty of a 17th-century pirate in this 1985 children's classic. Leader Mikey (Sean Astin) proves himself when he discovers the booby-trapped treasure in time to save their homes from demolition. Josh Brolin, Martha Plimpton and Corey Feldman also star. 6:30 p.m., Family, Channel 47.
