The Wichita State women's team took three singles titles at the Missouri Valley Conference Individual Championships on Sunday in Evansville, Ind.

Senior Stephanie Dalmacio defeated Drake's Manca Krizman to win her flight. Lenore Lazaroiu defeated Drake's Gabriela Demos in her flight's singles final, 6-3, 7-5. Florentina Hanisch rallied after a first-set loss to Illinois State's Natalia Lech for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, to complete the Shocker trifecta.

In doubles, Hanisch and Lazaroiu lost to Illinois State's Julia Zubkova and Franzi Stienhardt 8-6 in the finals.

SOCCER

The Kansas women outshot first-place Colorado 20-7, including 14-2 in the second half, but fell to the Buffaloes 1-0 in Lawrence. It was the Jayhawks' first home loss of the season and dropped Kansas to 1-4 in Big 12 play.

BASKETBALL

Two projected starters for Louisville's basketball team were released from jail Sunday after being arrested the night before on misdemeanor charges of resisting law enforcement in southern Indiana.

University of Louisville spokesman Kenny Klein confirmed that sophomore forward Terrence Jennings and senior guard Jerry Smith were arrested on the misdemeanor charges Saturday night in Jeffersonville, Ind. Both were released from the Clark County jail on Sunday morning.

Klein said basketball coach Rick Pitino is aware of the arrests and the issue will be handled inside the program.

SOCCER

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been ruled out for up to four weeks because of an ankle injury.

The Spanish club said Sunday that scans confirmed Ronaldo had severely sprained his right ankle while playing for Portugal in World Cup qualifying on Saturday. Portugal, with 16 points, leads third-place Sweden by one point. Portugal has a World Cup qualifying match on Wednesday against Malta.

The 24-year-old Ronaldo was the world player of the year last year and cost Madrid a record $136 million from Manchester United in the offseason.

HOCKEY

Ales Kotalik's power-play goal snapped a third-period tie, and backup Steve Valiquette made 18 saves in the New York Rangers' fourth straight victory, 3-0 over the Anaheim Ducks

GOLF

England's Ross McGowan won the Madrid Masters for his first European tour victory, beating Finland's Mikko Ilonen by three strokes.

McGowan followed his third-round 60 with a 71 to finish at 25-under 263 at Centro Nacional. He bega the final round with a seven-stroke lead.

* Canadian Chris Baryla won the Chattanooga Classic for his first Nationwide Tour victory, beating Troy Kelly by a stroke to move into position to earn a 2010 PGA Tour card as a top-25 finisher on the money list.

The 26-year-old Baryla, from Vernon, British Columbia, finished with a 2-under 70 for a 19-under 269 total on the Black Creek Club. He earned $90,000 to jump from 57th to 20th with $184,055 on the money list with two events remaining in the season.

Kelly finished with a 65. Cameron Percy (65), Vance Veazey (65) and David Branshaw (67) tied for third at 17 under.
