Frost/freeze
The temperature is forecast to drop to 34 at night, but why isn't there a frost advisory issued?
—James
In order to get frost to form when the temperature drops into the low and mid-30s, you should have some moisture near the ground, light winds and clear skies. Just as in fog forecasting, if the wind is too strong, it will keep the frost from forming on leaves, grass and other objects near the ground. In the fall, sometimes you'll see frost forming in low areas but not other places simply because the temperature is colder in those lower elevations.
